LEBANESE STYLE MINCED LAMB WITH PEAS

Olive oil
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped
250 gm lean lamb mince
1 tsp mixed spice
Chilli flakes to your taste
1 tsp dried mint
3 ripe tomatoes
2 TBS tomato paste
500ml water
500 g frozen peas
Salt, pepper
Plain yoghurt, to serve
Fresh mint to serve

Heat olive oil in saucepan.  Add onion and garlic and stir for 3 minutes.  Add lamb and stir frequently until browned.  Add spices, mint, tomatoes and salt.  Cook for about 3 mins.  Add tomato paste, water and peas and cook for 20 mins.  To serve, dollop with yoghurt and a squeeze of lemon, scatter with fresh mint.

Can be served with rice.
